Kristina Talbert-Slagle, Ph.D., is the Senior Scientific Officer at the Yale Global Health Leadership Institute and Lecturer at the Yale School of Public Health. Her research projects explore how biological and social complex systems mirror and potentially influence each other. Her recent work has included: analyzing how virus spread among individual cells could serve as a model for innovation spread among complex human organizations and exploring how the practices of supply chain management by The Coca-Cola Company have been applied to improve delivery of medicines in Tanzania. Dr. Talbert-Slagle teaches courses at Yale on the biology and social context of HIV/AIDS and global health research methods. She received her B.S. and B.A. degrees from the University of Kentucky and her Ph.D. from Yale University in the Epidemiology of Microbial Disease.
