Expanding its reach to practitioners in the field, the Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy sponsors symposia focused on leadership and grand strategy. From April 15th to the 22nd, the Program cosponsored the Leadership Forum for Strategic Impact, which brought together twelve African women, including ministers, pariliamentarians, and other senior officials from six countries including Ethiopia, Liberia, Senegal, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda to discuss and debate key issues faced by women in leadership roles around the world. In addition, from November 29th to December 7th, 2015, the Program cosponsored the Strategic Thinking in Foreign Affairs Symposium, where then delegates from the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs traveled to Yale to build the capacity of the MFA. Delegates participated in seminars and lectures led by Yale faculty, leading practitioners, and diplomats, and developed grand strategy to respond to two key priority areas chosen by the delegates - regional security and terrorism.
